I was born at Elliston South Australia,on the Eyre Peninsula in 1937,to John&Gladys Green.My two brothers,Dennis&Bruce Green.My dad lived and fished at Venus Bay,for 5 years,before buying a block of land at Elliston.Built a house,now called Greenacers.Me and my brothers went to the Elliston school,where we made a lot of friends.My dad then started to vegetables,and selling them around town.We had a little Austin 7 car,witch took us every where. Then in 1944,dad went looking for property around Port Lincoln,then one day he found something,he liked a lot.A garden block at Poonindie,so he decided to buy it at that time,we were still living at Elliston.We all moved down their,July 1944,dad had finished the house,it look so good,my brothers and i went to the Poonindie school,where we made  new freinds.After school we fed the chooks,milked the cows,seperated the milk.Mum at the time sent the cream can  into port lincoln butter factory.My called the property Spring Gully,dad planted lots of fruit trees,mostly apricots,along with plums,peaches,nectarines,figs,armonds,cheries,.apples,long with vegetables.Dad went every where selling,up the coast,country towns,every where.
